Position Purpose

To plan and implement swim lessons for infants through adults.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide onsite safety and training for participants
  2. Plan and implement seasonal lesson plans and promote program
  3. Attend training
  4. Ongoing communication with site lead and direct supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • Passion for working with children
  • Knowledge of basic swimming skills
  • Ability to teach and communicate with all ages, including preschoolers and parents
  • Ability to communicate and form positive relationships with co-workers.
  • CPR/FA certification within 3 months (paid training)
  • ARC Swim Instructor or Lifeguard Training within 3 months (paid training)

Desirable Training and Experience

  • Former experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons
  • Experience teaching or working with kids
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs
  • Former competitive swim experience.

*Certification available with minimum requirement met*
