This site will walk you through how to pull different types of fire permits.  Please pay attention to the requirements for each type of permit.

Please select the type of fire permit application you need below and follow the corresponding instructions:

Fire Alarm/Fire Sprinkler/Fire Suppression under $2,000

For projects with a valuation of $2,000 or less, reviews are not required.  Please follow the steps below:

  1. Please create a contractor account - visit this guide if you have any questions.  If you already have an account, skip this step.
  2. Once your account is set up, visit this page and log in
  3. Select "Fire" as your permit type
  4. Fill out the application and submit any plans electronically
  5. Once the application is processed you will get a link for payment, once payment is made the permit will auto-issue
Fire Alarm/Fire Sprinkler/Fire Suppression over $2,000

For projects with a valuation of $2,001 or more, reviews are required.  The City will need both an electronic application/plan submittal, and a separate (1) set of physical plans to be emailed to our Public Safety building.

  1. Please create a contractor account - visit this guide if you have any questions.  If you already have an account, skip this step.
  2. Once your account is set up, visit this page and log in
  3. Select "Fire - Review" as your permit type
  4. Fill out the application and submit any plans electronically
  5. Once the online application is processed you will get a link for payment with the total.
  6. The next step is to mail a copy of your plans.  Please print and fill out this form and send it with mailed plans. 
  7. If you are paying with a card, please mail the receipt with your plans
    OR If you are paying with a check, mail that with your plans
  8. Please mail 1 copy of your plans, either the credit card receipt OR a check, and the above form to:

  9. Once your plans have been received you will get an email confirmation.  Once they have been reviewed, you will get an emailed copy.
Tent/Canopies

If the tent or canopy is 120 sq ft or over, a permit is required

  1. Please create a contractor account - visit this guide if you have any questions.
  2. Once your account is set up, visit this page and log in
  3. Select Tents/Canopies/Fireworks as the permit type
  4. Fill out the application and include the below information in the description
    • Does the tent have sides?
    • Will there be cooking?
    • How is it secured to ground?
  5. Upload a site plan with the application and submit
  6. Once the application is processed you will get a link for payment, once payment is made, the Fire Marshal will review your plans
  7. Once they have been reviewed, the permit will be issued with any comments
Firework Sales
  1. Please create a contractor account - visit this guide if you have any questions.
  2. Once your account is set up, visit this page and log in
  3. Select Tents/Canopies/Fireworks as the permit type
  4. Fill out and submit this form with the required documents
  5. Upload a site plan with the application and submit
  6. Once the application is processed you will get a link for payment, once payment is made, the Fire Marshal will review your plans
  7. Once they have been reviewed, the permit will be issued with any comments
