COVID-19: Changes to Our Services
Due to COVID-19 there are several new changes in the delivery of our services. Changes in services include a designated hour for seniors (65+), a walk-up tab service, an outdoor drop box for vehicle registration tabs, and most importantly appointment scheduling. We ask for your cooperation and patience as we navigate through these changes. Please know that we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our staff and our customers.
Senior's Hour are Monday - Friday 7 am - 8 am with no appointments required for any transaction. Due to time constraints the first 10 seniors will receive a number ticket to guarantee service. All other seniors will be serviced if time allows. This added service will run through July 2nd, 2020.
Appointments are required for the following services:
*Minnesota has an extension for REAL ID enforcement, allowing Federal agencies to accept driver’s licenses and identification cards from Minnesota at Federal facilities, nuclear power plants and federally regulated commercial aircraft until October 1, 2021. Also, Gov. Walz signed a bill into law March 28 that provides an extension for Minnesotans whose driver's licenses or ID cards expire during the peacetime emergency. The expiration dates for these licenses will be extended for two months after the month the peacetime emergency ends. The peacetime emergency is in effect until June 12.
The following walk-up services are available on the lower level exterior of New Brighton City Hall. Please arrive with your paperwork prepared, expect longer wait times, and be mindful of the weather since you will be standing outside. If you are missing additional information or documentation you will need to get back in line.
Please take advantage of the Vehicle Registration Tab Renewal Options.
Note: Although not required if you have access to a mask we encourage you to wear one during your visit.
