The IT Department is responsible for maintaining the City’s information technology equipment to ensure systems are working efficiently and maintaining cost effectiveness. IT promotes and responds to all City IT issues as it relates to planning, consulting and supporting of the City’s IT Network and equipment. IT develops plans for what the city will utilize to enhance and improve the City’s technology capabilities for the public and staff. These focus areas include document imaging; e-government services; protecting and securing the City’s data information; and improving end user training. The IT Department is responsible for protecting the City’s IT system from issues related to business technology interruptions, unauthorized or inappropriate usage of technology, and network security.
