Finance

Welcome to the Finance Department

The Finance Department provides vital support services for the City including processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and utility billing. They also manage the investment of City funds and operate the License Bureau.

Finance also plays a key role in completing the City’s Annual Budget and it’s Capital Improvement Plan, coordinates the Annual Municipal Audit, and completes the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  The Finance Department has received a National Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting every year since 1992.

New Brighton’s “Change For The Better”

The “Change for the Better” program collects “change” used specifically for improvements to New Brighton parks. Participants in this program authorize the city to round up their quarterly utility bills to the nearest dollar, or add a fixed donation amount. To enroll in this program please complete the Change for the Better Form below and send to City of New Brighton, Attn: Utility Billing, 803 Old Hwy 8 NW, New Brighton, MN 55112.
