Basketball Skill-Builder Lessons

Beginner Skill Builder Basketball Lessons

Youth ages will 4-7 learn fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and more. Lessons include drills and games to help youth learn game rules, practices good sportsmanship, make new friends, and develop a love of sports. Please bring a water bottle and wear tennis shoes. $55

  

Intermediate Skill Builder Basketball Lessons

Youth ages 7-11 will review and improve their fundamental basketball skills while learning more about the game rules. The lessons are designed so that each and every participant, whether a beginner or a veteran, will increase skill level, knowledge, and a love of playing basketball. Kids will work on dribbling, shooting, defense, rebounding, team concepts, and more. $55

  

Dance

These high-energy classes focus on improving rhythm, balance and coordination. Children will have fun learning basic tap, jazz and ballet steps. Older children will continue learning advanced steps, dance choreography and creative movement. Dancers should wear a facemask and clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. All dancers will need tap and ballet shoes (which can be ordered through the instructors $16 for ballet and $24 for tap). Hand sanitizer will be available at the door. Dancers will be spaced 6 feet apart. The session will culminate with a virtual holiday performance!

Flag Football Skills Camp

In this flag football camp, participants will meet new friends, scrimmage with other players, and learn basic football skills and team concepts. All participants will receive their own football. The camp will be taught by a staff member, but we are looking for volunteer coaches to help with drills and scrimmages.

"Kickers" Karate (Ages 7+)

Location: Totem Pole Neighborhood Center (1111 Foss Road, New Brighton)
American Tae-Kwon-Do Karate for boys, girls, teens and adults is designed to teach participants self-defense, safety awareness and teamwork, while increasing flexibility. Students will focus on developing the basic fundamentals of kicking, punching, blocking and defense techniques. Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing and wear a mask. Hand Sanitizer will be available at the door. Equipment will be cleaned prior to and after use. Social distancing will be implemented.

Soccer Skill-Builder Lessons

Preschool & Beginner Skill Builder Soccer Lessons

A great introduction to the fun and exciting game of soccer! Youth ages 3-7 will develop coordination using large muscles and learn basic soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and more. Every lesson will include drills and games to help youth learn sportsmanship, make new friends, and develop a love of sports. Please bring a water bottle and wear tennis shoes. $55

Intermediate Skill Builder Soccer Lessons

Experienced soccer players will work to enhance their overall fitness and coordination through drills, game play, and conditioning. Youth ages 7-12 will have a great opportunity to sharpen soccer skills and review soccer rules and strategies, while making new friends and having fun. Open to all skill levels. $55

Tennis Lessons

USTA Quick Start Tennis Lessons
We use special tennis balls that slow down play for the beginner and helps kids get playing quickly. Tennis balls are provided. Please bring a facemask, water bottle and your own racquet if you have one. Racquets will also be available to borrow during class. Classes meet twice a week for three weeks. 

Ages 4-6
Children will have fun learning basic tennis skills and rules as they develop hand/eye coordination through games and special teaching equipment. Racquets will be provided if needed.

Ages 7 and up
This class is for children who have little or no tennis experience and would like to learn basic grips, forehands, backhands, serves and tennis rules.

Ages 7 and up
This class is for youth ages 7 and up who have completed Level 2 Beginner tennis or have some tennis experience. Individuals will review basic skills, learn more advanced skills such as power strokes, match play, serves and strategy through games, drills and demonstrations. 
 

Mission Possible Day Camp

Join us at Mission Possible Day Camp where the fun never ends!  Each day we will discover new and exciting activities together and allow time for distance learning.  This supervised and structured program focuses on healthy lifestyles, discovering creativity through games, crafts, and encouraging socialization with new friends.  Homework time/classroom meeting times will be scheduled into our day.  A morning and afternoon snack will be provided.  Parents will be able to choose either a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule with a Friday option available to match the Mounds View School District’s proposed schedule.  Program hours are flexible based upon your family needs.  Drop off could be as early as 7:00 am and pick up could be as late as 6:00 pm.

Campers will be divided into pods with a ratio of 1:11.  There will be NO program on school release days.  A $50 fee per camper is required at the time of registration.  A limited number of scholarships are available. 

Each camper will need to bring a mask, lunch, water bottle, Chrome Book and school work each day.  Outdoor activities are planned each day, please be sure to dress for the weather.

Mission Possible Day Camp is designed for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade.
