Option 2: Drop Box for Mail Out: (See instructions below)
The Drop Box is located on the lower level parking lot outside New Brighton City Hall. It is the same one used for submitting utility bills.
Submit your renewal notice and payment in the Drop Box before 11:00 am and we will mail it out by the next business day. This service is available for current Minnesota Residents (No Dealers) who are processing Motor Vehicle Registration ONLY.
Instructions for Renewal:
• Enclose your payment and Renewal Notice(s) with insurance company name, policy number, and expiration date (MM/DD/YYYY) in one envelope.
• Payment by Check payable to The City of New Brighton and must include a current phone number and driver’s license number on the check or complete and include a Credit Card Authorization form. No cash accepted.
*Verify address and Minnesota County on your registration renewal notice. If no changes are noted on the renewal notice, it will be assumed that all the information is correct and accurate for processing.
Note: The Deputy Registrar reserves the right to not process tab renewals if information is missing or incorrect.
Option 3: Walk-up Window:
The walk-up window is located on the lower level exterior of New Brighton City Hall. Please arrive with your renewal prepared, expect significantly longer wait times, and be mindful of the weather. If you are picking up tabs for someone else without the renewal notice you will need to have an original Authorization Form completed by the owner. Please note it must be an original with a live ink signature.

• Payments Accepted: Cash, check, *American Express, *Discover, *MasterCard and *Visa. *Debit/credit cards are charged a 2.49% processing fee
