Project Description
Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES), operator of the metro area wastewater collection and treatment system, is making improvements to the sanitary sewer interceptors along the southern end of Long Lake in New Brighton, Minnesota.
These interceptors are a critical component of sanitary sewer service in New Brighton, taking wastewater from local residents and businesses and sending it to the Wastewater Treatment Plant to be treated before being released back into the environment. The scheduled improvements will repair the aging infrastructure and enhance the system’s efficiency and reliability.

Project Schedule
Construction is anticipated to begin in fall of 2022.
