We shared a sneak peek of Lions Park with you a few weeks ago, but we have more exciting news about the new park – the parking lot is now open!
The new parking lot has an additional 163 stalls for residents and visitors to utilize when they’re visiting the park area. The design includes permeable pavers that are separated by joints where the rainwater can filtrate beneath the pavers into rock. Water is then collected in the rock with draintile and discharged into the storm sewer pipes. Trails connecting Long Lake Park and the Enclave are now open to enjoy as well.
Future plans for Lions Park include a new pavilion and restroom that will be near the parking lot and new softball/lacrosse fields. The “tot lot” for kids is scheduled for construction this fall.
