The City recently made an offer to purchase the Korean Church property located at 701 8th Avenue NW. After receiving a total of four offers, the seller selected the City as the purchaser. The City is in the process of finalizing legal details of this arm’s length transaction. This was a unanimous decision of the City Council and no eminent domain was used in this acquisition. It’s reasonable to expect the City to close on the property this fall. Because this is a well-known property, there have been many questions surrounding the purchase.
